Childhood Literacy and Development

As part of our commitment to Early Childhood Development, we are partnered with the Reach Out and Read (ROR) program. This emphasis on literacy encourages and helps children develop critical, early reading skills. Our practice follows the American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines, and incorporates literacy checks, right into the regular office visit. We promote the importance of reading to parents and children, by providing free books to patients. We believe this approach ensures that each child gets an early start to reading and also creates an opportunity for families to bond over a shared activity.
